Hello world! I'm talking about preferences in Alice3. if you select window-> preferences, we have a few choices. The first is the programming language that you want to see the code in. In order for you to follow along, and have your code look like the code in the videos, it's important to select Java as the programming language. Under locale you can pick a language that you would like to see the commands in. There is a choice to see Java code on the side. If you were learning to program in Java, that might be useful. I'm going to turn that one off. Another preference is to display the word "this" and I selected to always see that. I'm going to select that I have constants checked. Under gallery you have a choice if you want to provide an initial field name on a prompt and I do. And so on. Those are the preferences that I have selected. The most important one is for you to pick is the programming language is Java.
