Fidget Quilt index

This is one of the ways the family can customize the quilt. They can add photos, ID or contact or medical alert information.

Materials:

• Basic backing block in any color
• Clear plastic: 5"x7" (16 Gauge Clear Vinyl)
• About 2 feet of Double fold bias tape (any size can work.)
• Letter to family and friends

Instructions:

1. Place one of the long sides of the plastic inside the bias tape. Cut to fit, then Stitch in place.
2. Cut a piece of bias tape for each of the remaining sides.
3. Position the plastic on the backing block and stitch through the bias tape, the plastic and the backing on 3 sides.
4. Place the letter to family and friends in pocket.

Notes:

• Short stitches can perforate the vinyl and cause it to rip, use longer stitches.
• I tried this without the bias tape and the clear plastic won’t move on the feed dogs, making a mess.
• On the finished quilt, the open edge should be towards the middle, so the pictures don’t fall onto the floor.
