I have been teaching computer science for a long time. Most of that time has been at community colleges with very diverse populations: La Guardia Community College in NY and currently at Montgomery College in MD.
I incorporate active learning, culturally competent pedagogy, and flipped classrooms, and anything else that works. Over the years I have developed a few tools and tricks. I am happy to share them.
If you would like to add your own tools and tips to this list, or just have a comment, please write to me at jjoy@zebra0.com. I will add your suggestions to the list and include your name.
