Privacy: If you are 18 or have attended at least one class at Montgomery College, your education records are protected by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act [FERPA], regardless of who is paying the tuition bill. FERPA is a federal law that limits access to student education records, including grades and class schedules. Electronic communications do not guarantee privacy. In addition to the instructor, technical staff or administrative personnel may also access the course. To respect students’ privacy, sharing personal information or posting photographs is voluntary, not required.
